I take comfort in the fact that he died the way I think everybody hopes they will. He didn't have any medical conditions, just sat down in the evening after turning on the TV, and passed on. He was in great physical shape for someone in their 80s; he hiked with us up Timpanogas Mountain when we were there last summer, and that is a very long and steep hike. He had a clear mind and was tutoring in advanced mathematics and playing with mathematical puzzles up through yesterday.

He lived a long and fulfilling life and had the respect and love of many people.
